in the field, having produced hundreds of successful product designs. Luis

ventures -- to develop a variety of market-leading health care products and
sophisticated surgical tools.
Luis brings 20 years of medical device design expertise and is active in
evaluating medical products for the Medical Device and Manufaturing Awards.
Karl R. Leinsing, MSME, PE – founder of ATech Designs, Inc. has 17 years experience with product development. For 13 of those years he has focused his work on the development of medical devices for Cardinal Health, Onux Medical, Inc., Novacept, Inc., and Mitralign, Inc. Karl is nationally recognized in the medical field. He currently holds 9 patents (3 pending) and has received 5 design awards. Areas of expertise include full life cycle product development, product conception, patents, polymer selection, thorough computer aided design and analysis.
Karl also has extensive experience in molding and manufacturing, detailed project organization, technical presentations, and leadership. Karl has a Masters of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He is a licensed professional engineer in New Hampshire and North Carolina and has lectured Medical Device and Manufacturing (MD&M) Seminars on The Science of Successful Product Design.
